Matthew Schenk understands the fundraising business from both the client side and the fundraiser side. After graduating from Swarthmore College, Matthew’s passion for politics took him to Young America’s Foundation, where he was involved in fundraising, donor development, and managing the Foundation’s publications.
He then moved on to a prominent Washington fundraising agency, where he quickly became a Senior Account Executive and head of the firm’s Campaign Fundraising division. In August of 2001, Matthew left this successful position to become a founding partner of HSP Direct, LLC. Today, HSP Direct is the fastest-rising direct mail agency in the conservative movement.
As President of HSP Direct, Matthew has been responsible for recruiting HSP’s impressive client base, which has included Presidential campaigns, United States Senators, and a virtual “Who’s Who” of the conservative movement. Matthew has also played a key creative and management role in building enormously successful direct mail programs for these organizations and candidates. His broad background in all types of fund raising -- direct mail, high dollar, internet, video, newsletter, and grant writing -- has made him a leader in the field.
